Make your perler bead QR code in three steps
Choose your colors
Start with classic colors or try colored corners, four regions and diagonal regions. Dots, squares and hollow dots change the appearance, not your bead counts.
Check, download, then build
Scan the pattern with your phone, then download the PNG. Fill the light cells too. Scan your arranged beads before ironing and check the finished piece again.
Perler bead QR code questions
Can a perler bead QR code really scan?
Yes, physical examples exist, but this generator only verifies its digital pattern. Bead colors, gaps, glare and ironing can affect the finished code even when every bead is in the right place.
Can I use text instead of a URL?
Yes. Encode a note, Chinese text, emoji or a link. A scanner may show plain text or offer to open a URL. The tool preserves your input and does not check whether a destination website is available.
Why does a longer message need more beads?
More data can require more QR squares. Higher error correction can also increase the size. Each square uses either one bead or a 2 × 2 block; the light border is included in the final dimensions.
Can I change the message after making it?
No. This is a static QR code. Changing its text creates a different pattern. If you encode a website URL, you can update the page you control at that same URL, but this tool does not provide dynamic redirects.
Can I reduce the white border to save beads?
Yes. The border defaults to 4 QR modules per side and can be reduced to zero. Keep the light beads inside the code. With a smaller border, scan on a plain white or light surface that provides enough clear space around all four sides. Background scan checks do not add beads to your pattern.
Is this free, and is my text uploaded?
It is free, with no sign-in or ads in this tool. Generation, color changes, scan checks and PNG export happen in your browser. Your message is not saved by this tool and resets to our default website URL when you reload.
